June 2012

Jack loves watching Daddy 'working'.  He always wants to carry around something in his pocket that resembles a hammer.  Justin helped my mom put a storm door on for Mother's Day!  Great husband!
Papa Mick and Jack tracing hands at Grandma Joyce's!

Jack on his "motorcycle".  He really thinks it is.

Attempting to feed the ducks with Grandma Joyce

We got creative while Justin was hanging my mom's door and decided to make a ramp for his cars to race!

We went out to my mom's friend Kellie's house to get a topper before our Ozarks vacation.  Jack loved being at their farm!

This picture below cracks me up.  They had a mermaid statue and I think he just realized something about it!

Playing on our new deck!

Jack loves watching the garbage truck go by on Mondays.  He can hear it from miles away.  On this day, he had to go grab his garbage truck to hold while he watched!

Bode holding Hanna.  Tory and Joe's son!
Emery and Jack were too quiet downstairs while they were playing.  I went to check out what was happening and they were playing cute as can be.  They were putting plastic eggs on their toes!  So cute!
 Always the entertainer!

 Grandma Mary with Hanna!
Sturgis Falls.  Hanna passed out and Jack had a blast sitting on the curb during the parade with Addie.

Can't believe this girl is 6 months old!

Making "ooey gooey" with Cousin Libby!  She is the best!

Before his last day of swimming lessons.  He was soooooo excited!  He loved being a Mighty Minnow and we will miss this Tuesday night activity.

 Love my kids so much!!

Hanna liked seeing Grandma and Grandad Brown again!

 Fun with Grandma Carol!

Golf cart ride with Grandpa Bob and Grandad Brown!

Jack's first trip to the bank!  Jack really wanted a little Woody or a little Buzz.  So I told him that we could empty his piggy bank into 2 containers; one to save, and one for the toy.  We worked together on this, and Jack tried to double and triple up his handfuls to dump into the toy tub!  How do they learn this so young?!  So I switched the two around and tried to give him a lesson about saving.  He then took the full tub and tried to dump it into the new toy tub!  Tricky little 2 year old....pretty smart.  We then went to the bank and waited in line forever to put the money into his account.  He got a sticker and then we went to Walmart in hopes of finding a little Woody.  The last toy aisle we walked down we found Woody and Buzz in little form and he decided he wanted Buzz instead.  Poor Woody...Buzz always wins.

Jack started his library program and has to color in a star for each book he reads.  So far he's gotten a ticket to the zoo and a new book...a Llama Llama one!  Now he has to read 40 books to pick a prize at the end.  I have so much fun taking him to the library every Tuesday for story time and to pick out books.  He picks out 5 for himself and one for Hanna.  Avie our neighbor girl stays with Hanna for the hour.  It's so much fun to have time just the two of us again.  He loves playing in the rocketship at the library and singing Twinkle Twinkle with actions during story time.  He runs right in and grabs his little green mat to sit on right away.

First swimming lesson day!  He was SOOOOOOO excited!  He got to get dunked and go down the waterslide!

Jack Stories
June 2012

-Justin was changing Hanna’s diaper in the car and it got messy.  Justin said, “Gosh darnit!”  And Jack said, “Go doggit!  Go doggit!”

-Lemme play a song for you!  He says this!

-One day he was singing Twinkle Twinkle in the pack n play and singing the high part up like I do.  “What you areeeeeeeee”  Then he started saying “Justin, Justin”.  Justin goes and Jack says, “I was talkin about you!”  Justin asked him what he was saying about him and he said, “Justin!”  Then he said, “Lemme play a song for you!”  This kid is a STALLER!!!!

-Jack was singing “OOOO ----EEEEE----OOOOO-----AAAAAA----AAAAAAA-----ting, tang, walla walla bing bang…..and we asked him where learned that.  He said, “In my bed.”

-One day I asked Jack to hand me or move a coaster, and he started whining that he wanted to go on a rollercoaster!  He’ll ask us if we want to have a rollercoaster when we have a drink!

-He said, “Get outta my cawseat!”

-Loves windmills!!!  Probably because it’s the only thing he can see in the car since the window blocks him!

-Hanna was rolling back and forth and Jack said, “Let’s get ready to rock and rolllllllll!”

-When Justin takes Jack down for bed while I’m feeding Hanna, I will say that I love him.  He will say, “Love you toooooooo much!  To the moon and back!”

-When he plays his keyboard, he only likes the B-I-N-G-O song at the beginning so he will turn it off then back on so it starts there every time!  He even knows how to speed up the tempo and sing in the mic!

-He’ll ask, “What’s that?”   I’ll tell him and he’ll respond, “Gotchaaaaa.”  I asked him who says that, and he said, “Daddy.”

-Jack sings every night in his crib before bed.  He sings ‘Oh Holy Night’, ‘Ting Tang’, ‘Silent Night’, or ‘Old MacDonald’.  So sweet.

-He likes to respond, “That’s true” after we say a fact.

-He will get obsessed with one thing for a week.  One week everything was a spider.  Some weeks everything is a crocodile.

-Went for a walk a few weeks ago and Jack was freaking out because the wind was blowing his hair.  Funny he cares as his hair looks like a squirrel’s nest every morning!  I ask him if there are squirrels or birds in there!

-“Heas scrambled eggs”…..stirs them…brings them to me……”Cool off?” Then puts them in the stove….brings them back to me with fork and sppons and knife…..”Heya go.” (as he cursey’s talking in a funny Borat sounding voice…sort of with an accent.  When I asked him what  kind the ice cream was he brought, I said, “Is this strawberry?”  He said, “No, it’s pink!”  With a curtsey and head to the side and an accent he said, “Heyas ya piiiiiiiiiink!”

-He requested one day to watch football.  He loves playing basketball and dribbling!  One day he was shooting the beach ball into the basket and was saying, “Like dis Jenna!”  Then would have Justin shoot it and say, “Daddy your so cool, good job (zob)!”

-Waking up from nap.  One day was saying, “It’s my birrrrrrtday!!!!’  Another day he was saying, “I has hair on my wegs!”

-Money.  Jack loves his money thanks to Papa.  He asked me if we could go to the bank again to get a sucker.  I said he needed money.  He asked me, “How money?”  I  said chores and explained this.  He said, “What money?” (meaning how much).  I told him $1.  He cocked his head to the side and said, “Two dolla?”  Another day we were separating his piggy bank into two tubs and I told him one was for the bank and the other for a toy.  He kept trying to rig it by doubling up each coin as he was putting it into the toy side.  Then I switched them and he attempted to dump the more full one into the toy one!!

-Jack gets super excited to go anywhere!  He will start talking really sweet and will do anything we ask!  “Okay!”

-“Honey!”  I will say  thank you ‘Honey’.  He will say, “You’re welcome honey!”  Then for the next few minutes everything is honey or sweetie.

-We played a fun game where we made a taco or sandwich with each other inside!  Jack was the middle of the taco and the pillows surrounded him.  He loves this!

-On way to Ozarks Jack said in back seat, “J-A-C-K-Jack!”  He also sang Twinkle Twinkle to a worm, the entire song!  He also took orders asking, “What you want tewday?”  We’d order, he’d say, “Okay!”  And deliver sticks to us.  During dinner in the Ozarks, Mike asked Jack what his favorite part of the meal was.  He said, “Anya” (lasagna).   Then Jack asked everyone one by one what their favorite was.  When it came back to him he said, “What’s my favorite?”  This went around about 5 times.

-Dangerous!  I told him that motorcyles were dangerous, and now he loves to use this word.  I was trying to be funny and closed my eyes in the kitchen and he started freaking out saying, “No Mommy, don’t close eyes in kitchen…it’s dangerous!”  Jack also says helicopters (hamdopters) are dangerous.

-Jack loves his baby sister.  He calls her  ‘my baby’ and ‘my Hanna’.  It is priceless.

-He will do ANYTHING or eat ANYTHING for another crescent roll.

-He loves taking orders and pretending to be a server.  ‘What you want today?’  We tell him, and he says, “Okay.”  Leaves and brings us something.  He actually finds something to write on with a fake writing utensil.

6-29-12

Dear Hanna,

I cannot believe how fast time has flown with you!  You are 6 months old now!  You have changed from a very fussy, uncomfortable 1 month old into this amazingly content, calm, and sweet, smiley 6-month-old baby girl!  I cherish the times when I just get to spend time with just you and me.   You just look at me and smile like you are so content and happy with your little life.
You are still nursing only, and pretty soon will be eating veggies and fruit!  You wake up at about 6:15 or 6:30 now, and then take 1-2 naps a day.  You go down for a morning nap around 10 or so, and then an afternoon one as well.  We haven’t quite figured out your schedule during the day yet.  You like to be held, lay on the floor and roll around everywhere, and to sit in your Bumbo on the counter watching Jack eat.  You can move now!  You scooch your body all around the living room within seconds.
You like to take a tubby around 5:30, and then eat from about 6-6:30 or 7:00 before going to bed.  You like to sleep on your tummy, and even if we put you on your side or back, you flip to your tummy!  We are so glad we have the video monitor and angel care monitor to make sure you are safe!
During tubby time you are in heaven.  You love to lay in your little white bath and kick like crazy!  You smile most of the time too!  Sometimes you are in there for 30 minutes because you love it so much.  You even start to smile right when we turn the bath water on.  We love giving you tubbies!  Jack likes to come watch us and make you laugh too!
When you are at daycare, you like to watch the big kids play.  You love seeing Vickie’s face and hearing her voice too!  You don’t even get scared when Gordie barks!  You drink 2 6-7 oz. bottles when you go with Jack on Wednesdays.
Last weekend we went to Sturgis Falls and went to the parade with you.  You were such a good little girl.  You just sat quiet as can be and then fell asleep on me during the parade.  The next day in the park, you just sat in your stroller and watched people walk by and listened to the music.  You also walked around with Aunt Jeanne which was fun for you too!  You are just so easy to take places because you are so laid back….just like Mommy!  Just kidding…..100% Daddy!!  You look and act like him while Jack is all me!
I just love you so much Hanna!  I love your poofy cheekers, your beautiful blue eyes, your pink lips, your pale skin, and the little rolls in your thighs!  I could eat you up every day!  You are sooooooo kissable!
When you wake up in the morning I hear you making a little noise and then look at you in the monitor.  After a few minutes, you will perch up like a seal!  I love this…that is when I know you are ready to go!  Sometimes you will just roll around in there and look at the circle paintings that we painted in the baby room.  You really don’t cry in your crib, and never wake up at night!
You just found your cough!  You have been doing fake coughs now for a couple of days.  It seems fake and it’s the next noise you’ve discovered you can do.  Sometimes you do a loud squeak, but otherwise you are mostly just sucking on your fist because you are teething.  No teeth yet but soon!!  You can sit up for about 8 seconds before tipping over!
I can’t wait (well…I can actually….I want you small forever)…to watch you grow up and to see how your face changes and your hair grows.  I can’t wait to go shopping with you….even though I really don’t like it!  I’m excited to see you make friends and go to school.  I think you are going to be such a sweet girl and a good, polite student in school!  I’m sure it’s too early to tell….but I have a good feeling.
Thank you for being your smiley, lovey, sweet self.  I love looking at your face every day!  Thank you for being my baby girl!

I love you!

Mommy
