16-17 months old!
What a fun age! This month was full of playing outside with Mommy since school's out, getting a new swingset, going on a mini-vacation over Memorial Day, and finding out that Jack will be a big brother!! Baby #2 is born on January 3. Jack was born January 6, so we'll have 2 close kiddos:) Patience, patience, patience, is what I will continue to tell myself. I'm really loving this 2-1 ratio with Jack! We are so excited to see our new baby and watch Jack be a great big brother! We spread the news with Jack wearing a Big Brother t-shirt and texting it to all of our parents on Mother's Day. Everyone was shocked!
Jack has started to throw some intense tantrums when we don't hold him when he wants to be held, or when we come inside from even 100 degree weather because he LOVES outside! He also loves doing what he wants to do when he wants to do it. He loves to throw balls, play catch, dancing while Mommy raps, push his lawn mower outside, wrestle his stuffed animals, talk babble CONSTANTLY, going to daycare, straws, playing chase, pretending everything is a phone....everything, and saying 'Ay-o' (hello), fake laughing, rolling on the carpet, testing the water, going up and down stairs, brooms, mops, doing whatever we're doing, remotes, computers, doggies, kisses, cuddling on the couch before bed watching World Music, being around water, and being held. Jack loves strawberries, cottage cheese, cheese, whatever we're eating, sippy cups with straws, fruit snacks, raisin toast, yogurt, pasta, and mixed veggies. He still takes a short cat nap in the morning, and an afternoon nap for anywhere from 1-2 hours! He has extended his bedtime to the limit and now goes to bed at 7:00. He wakes up between 6-7, and I get SO excited if he sleeps until 7 since I'm home all summer, but that doesn't happen too often. The words that Jack can say are: baby (when pointing to pictures of himself or my belly), Mama, Dada, moooooo, woof woof, Wo-wa (Laura), shoes, cheese, and still signs more, thank you, and please. He refuses to try to say these words but hopefully soon! I love that Jack is becoming more of a Mommy's boy and will put his arms up to be held saying Mama, Mama, over and over again. It's so sweet. We love him more and more each day!!!!!

Memorial Day weekend at Honeycreek on Lake Rathbun! We stayed 2 nights, and our friends Joe, Leah, and Grady joined us. It's about 20 minutes from our lots on Lake Sundown and was the perfect getaway to go to an indoor waterpark! Pictures are blurry because it was so steamy in there. Jack loved the waterslide the most! He even practiced jumping in off the side, but would bounce and eventually end up on his bottom on the cement. But it's a start:)

We forgot our stroller, thank goodness the Butlers brought theirs for us to use! There were so many trails to walk on!

Getting some curly mullet hair! I do love the curls though. He's had 4 haircuts and it's getting expensive. We're going to grow it out for as long as we can take it so we don't have to pay for a haircut every 4 weeks!

Tory, Joe, Emery, and Bode came over for a grill out and we decided to let Jack come play a little bit longer in his pj's. He loved it!
