October 2012

Hanna is 10 months old!  Time is going toooooooo fast!  She can pull herself up, crawl super fast, and sucks on everything!  October was full of family fun.  I love fall!

Our annual trip to Howell's!  Hay ride...

Me and my babies!  We took a similar picture last year when I was pregnant with Hanna.  So neat to see how things change in a year.

Jack was so confident walking around the square.  He wanted to win that costume contest bad!  Plus there were about 5 other Spidermen he had to compete with.  You should have seen the stare-down he gave with the Spiderman behind him.

Jack stories
October 2012
2 years 9 months old

-When playing in the tub, Jack grabbed his ‘parts’.  “Mom, I found someteen!”   “What is it?”   “Is it baws (balls)?”  “Yes Jack, it is.”  “I wanna get dem outta dare!!”

-We were talking about Baby Kaiden bracelet, and Jesus.  Jack asked, “Where is big Jesus and baby Jesus?”  I told him, “He’s up high.”  He says, “No, he’s on the ground!”  “I love Jesus.”  I told him, “Me too.”  He screamed, “No you don’t!!  He’s my Jesus and I take him awwwwwwww gone!”  Well…okay then.

-Talking to Grandma Joyce while she’s laying next to him in his bed.  “Guess what, my mommy and daddy said someone’s comin in 2 more nights of sleep!  And he’s got a biiiiiiig hat!  And iiiiiiiiiiits JESUS!  And Santaaaaa Clauuuuuuus!”

-Jack loves his ‘babies’.  These include: Doggie and Penguin.  He gets very concerned about their well being and their location.  While we were reading a book one night, he kept interrupting asking to feed Penguin.  He wanted to ‘nurse’ Penguin but we made him use a pretend bottle instead.  Then we continued reading until Doggie got scared of monsters.  Had to stop book and explain that he has to be brave for his babies.  “Eets okay baby.  Dares no monstows.”

-While reading Are You My Mother the bird yelled for his mommy.  I asked Jack if he ever missed Mommy.  He said, “Yes, when you drop me off and go to work.”  Okay, that was a bad question.  Guilt!!!!!

-I needed a couple of minutes and asked Jack to do puzzles alone while I took
a break.  He was playing great until his puzzle guy tipped over.  He gave up and started whining that he needed help.  “I can’t do it!”  I made him say, “I think I can I think I can…..”  He started whispering it….set guy up again and he fell.  He said, “I think I CAN’T, I need HEWP!”  He ended up finishing alone and said, “Does he look good?  I did it!”

-At 4 AM, Jack woke up yelling, “Daddy Hewp Me!”  Justin ran downstairs only for him to say, “Stars are off.”  (Had been off since 8:30 PM night before….)

-Hi Mister!  Hi Mister Hanna!  We go to Cedar Fawls.  They have tables and food in Cedar Fawls!”  (Love that he mimics us when talking to Sister) We then asked Jack if we had food at our house, he said, “No!”  Drama King!

10-28-12

Dear Hanna,

My sweet baby angel, you are 10 months old!  You are still such a sweetheart.  You love your Mommy and cry when I hand you to someone else, and get so very excited when you see your Daddy’s face!  You start kicking and grunting and smiling when he gets home.
You still don’t have any teeth.  This weekend you have had a fever all weekend.  No teeth yet!  We hope you get some soon.  You weigh 21 lbs. 10 oz., and are 28 ¾ in. long.  You are 89% for weight, 78% for length. You are very healthy!  And we are very lucky!
You eat squash, peas, green beans, lots of fruit mixes, and drink 6- 8 oz. bottles of formula 4 times a day.  We have tried to give you cheese, but you don’t like it.  You do not like yogurt melts.  You do not like to suck on ice cubes in the net anymore.  You do not like to suck on frozen yogurt in the net.   You do not like Mum Mums.  We are so ready for you to get teeth so we can feed you more food!
You are standing up in your crib right now ready for us to come get you!  You are such a happy baby; especially when we come to get you!
You sure like to be held, to pull yourself up on things, to jump in the jumparoo, to stand at your little table, the pantry, to push doors hard so they swing back at you, to have freedom, to stick your tongue out, to blow your lips and spit everywhere, to push the high chair, and to be wherever Jack is.  You smile at most everyone.

We love you so very much baby girl!  You are our precious Baby Angel.

Love,
Mommy and Daddy
