Jack turned 20 months on the 6th. Can't believe he's almost 2! We've had a fun August...we went to a couple of weddings, went to a family reunion and a hotel, had Justin's childhood friend and family stay here, started Kindermusic, and spent a lot of time with Aunt Laura and Grandma Joyce!
Jack's getting less patient, more funny, less baby, and more big boy!
His favorite words:
Eesh-Bee (Excuse me) He loves this and will say it even if your legs are not in the way of him walking around you!
Ess-is-sin (medicine)....he says this almost every night before bed (bad I know). But we think he likes the taste after all his ear infections. We now give him Gripe Water if he asks for it.
Cummon Gice (Come on guys)
Nayo (No....in a weird accent..real slow like he's better than you)
Su-shine (sunshine) Grandma Joyce taught him this one! She opened the shades and told him to look for the sunshine! He became obsessed with this word and said it over and over and over again for weeks! "Is sis su-shine!"
Peace (please)
Stick (yogurt stick)
Dit (downstairs)
Dit (upstairs)
He is still obsessed with making people laugh. He loves doing 'eyebrows' to anyone that will look at him or 'I see you' and look at you sideways! Always cracks us up. He will dance on cue, shake his shoulders, hop like a froggie, breakdance on the ground, attempt to do a somersault which turns into downward dog yoga pose, roll on the floor with Big Teddy (his best friend), read books, gather toys one by one and stack them on Mommy or Daddy, gather toys and put them in his Jack chair and then sit on them like a hen, playing outside, chalk, BUBBLES, and play-dough.
The one biggie this month has been Jack's first 'chair time' at daycare. Apparently Bob told Jack to stop throwing toys. Jack continued and Bob said, 'No!' Jack turned to him, made a mean face, and chucked them at him. Chair time.
It's been a great month and we are soaking up spending all of this one-on-one time with Jack before January. We have some big milestones ahead, moving Jack downstairs, getting rid of paci at bedtime, and converting the crib BACK to a big boy bed.
We love you!!
New piano! The other day we Skyped with Grandpa Mick and they played piano together. It was so cute!
Justin's childhood friend Ben and his family came from the East coast and stayed with us one night! The kids had a great time and it was so fun having them here! Jack loved Ben. He could not stop saying 'Ben' long after they left...for days and days!

Jack loves when Grandma Joyce reads to him! Especially his new favorite book Llama Llama Red Pajama!

Daddy and Jack at week 2 of Kindermusic! The first week Jack was fussy and hard to handle with just Daddy, so I came along the second time! He did pretty well the second week....only time will tell. Although he does cry every class at the beginning when everyone pats their legs to the beat, he usually cools down and is all fired up by the end. Running around in circles and laughing at other kids is his favorite! Last time we played with scarves for peek a boo, sticks to keep the beat, and sand blocks. He loved the sticks and scarves!

Labor Day Weekend! We went to my family's reunion in Garner. We stayed in a hotel so we could swim. Jack loved playing at the farm and riding on the Gator and playing football with the boys. He's also loving swimming so much more and he doesn't fight it!

Mommy's bandage is from the burning hot coffee she spilled on herself on the way to the pool! I had to wrap it with a towel and put aloe burn relief on it...so painful!
