What a busy April it has been! We celebrated Easter, Hanna turned 4 months old, and.....we gained a new member of the family! Laura and Mike had baby Landon John on April 25! We are so happy for them and look forward to seeing our kids grow up together as cousins!!!

Jack-April 2012
2 years and 3 months
old
Jack has been fun, adorable, and
hilarious, but he has definitely been testing us!! He is SUCH a sweet big brother whether he is
helping us wash Hanna in the tub, “Here Hanna, like this Hanna…..”, or standing
on her jumparoo and staring at her to look at him, or slapping her a little in
the tub after not napping all day at daycare!
He keeps us on our toes daily!
Jack is always asking where Hanna is if she is not around, but he does
love his 1-1 time!
The other day on the way to
Kindermusic, Jack got in the car with me and as we took off he was whining, “My
Hanna, where my Hanna….miss her.” It was
precious. Jack loves music class. We are so sad that Miss Anita will not be
having it anymore. We aren’t sure if we
will drive to go to another one or not for next session. He just loves it. He now sits on the blanket with all the other
kids for story time. He uses his
listening ears and cups his ears like instructed, then holds them for the whole
story to prove he’s still listening. He
played bells the other day in class in
front of everyone. I was so proud of my
brave little boy.
He loves the outside. Loves walks.
Asks for a bowl of cereal everyday for snack. He never gets one. He gets a yogurt or fruit. He still loves spaghetti, pizza, goulash,
fruit bars, and granola bars. He asks
for apple juice every night with supper but always gets milk. We are thinking he gets some extra fun food
at daycare since he’s always asking for it!
I love that Jack is with Hanna all day at
daycare and I can ask him how the day was and if she cried. He will tell me yes sometimes, and I ask him
what Bob and Vickie did about it. He’ll
show me with his hands and say, “Pat her back.”
He is such a chatter box and likes to talk! A lot!
He also likes to make people laugh…a lot! The other day in the car he said to me, “Look
Mommy…” and I turned around to see him looking sideways with his tongue stuck
out. Some other funny stories:
-Jack says: “Dares a gurl right dare.” (while looking out deck door at Grandma
Joyce’s) Me: “A girl?” Jack: “Ya, a gurl.” Me: “A squirrel?” Jack: “Ya, a
gurl.” Me: “No honey that’s a bunny
rabbit.” Jack: “No, a gurl.”
-Jack and Daddy walking up to Scheels to meet me. Jack sees me and shouts, “Ha Mommy! We’re comin closer!”
-Jack has gone potty many times, but he has to be in the
right mood. The other morning he went
before daycare and got an M n M for going.
(Eni mem as he calls it). He was
sooooo proud of this and carried it all the way in his hand to daycare.
-Jack was crying one day with Grandma Joyce and she couldn’t
figure out what was wrong. She put her
glasses back on and he immediately stopped.
-Jack caught Grandma Joyce when she went down the
slide. He stuck his arms out without any
prompt! So cute!
-Jack likes to sing to himself when he’s in his crib. He will sometimes sing at night to fall
asleep, but almost always sings in the mornings when he’s sleeping in. Lately he has been waking up singing, “Yes,
Jesus Loves Me!” He sings all of the
words in the sweetest voice. So
sweet.
-Counting.
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,17,18,17,18,17,18,17,18 pause………….12teen.
-Uncle Bell. Wanna
see him.
-One day while stacking Legos, Jack was telling Hanna how to
stack a tower.
-I said, “Hanna’s getting so big.” Jack said, “Ya.” “Mommy so big…….Daddy so big…..My so big……”
-When I’m reading him books I will ask him where things
are. When I point to the object I’ll
make a noise with my mouth. Jack has
started to do this now too.
-“Sumteen Happeened!”
Jack says this when he sees something out of place. He will say this and then go get it and move
it.
-Jack burped the other day and I said, “What do you
say?” He said, “Thank you.”
-Jack burped tonight after supper and said, “I burp like a
piggy….like Mommy….” What?!?!
-“I play ga tay guitar!”
We think this translates to ‘I play my toy guitar.’ But he loves to play this and dance and tap
his foot and tune it. Just like a
rockstar. He loves his Uncle Mike and
we’re sure this is why he loves this play ga tay guitar so much!
-“Mo wiggos!” (More Wiggles)
After a Wiggles is over, he wants more.
He’s obsessed. Again, he wants to
be a Wiggle.
-The golf club is called the baseclub. He loves it.
After he hits his ball and cheers like the Masters. Holds his club in the air and says,
“Yeeeeeeeeesssssss!”
We love you so very much Jack. You are the best! Love Mommy and Daddy

Dear Hanna,
Baby baby
girl. You are such an angel. I love you so much. You are 4 months old now, and I can’t
believe it. I love how much time I get
to spend with you feeding you. You look
up at me with those big blue eyes and smile a crooked smile at me all the time. You sometimes look focus when you’re eating
and just want to smile at me. You do
this a lot! You smile in the morning
when we see you. You smile when ANYONE
looks at you. You are seriously such a
sweetheart!!! I love the way you look at
me, your daddy, and your brother. You
love to watch him eat, laugh, play, and look back at you. You will have so much fun with him over the
years.
Right now
Daddy wakes you up at 6:15 to bring you in to me to feed you. You are so happy when you see me! After
I feed you, you lay there on the bed and watch me get ready for work. Then we strap you in to your carseat and I
take you and your big brother to Bobby and Vickies. You smile when you hear Vickie’s voice. You are perfectly content with wherever you
are. I love that. Such an easygoing baby. You like to watch other kids or look at the
face of whoever is holding you. A smily,
charming baby. After work I can’t wait
to pick you and Jack up. You usually
haven’t slept much during the day; just taking little cat naps when you
can. I imagine the kids are to noisy for
you. Poor baby. I rush home in the car to Jack settled with a
snack in his high chair and maybe a cartoon, just before feeding you. You practically pass out for the night while
eating. Bath time starts at 6:00
now. Sometimes with Jack, sometimes just
by yourself. It’s so much fun to watch
you kick and splash in the tub. You love
it!! At about 6:30 we take you out and
get you all dressed in a onesie and a sleeper.
You eat again for awhile until around 7:00 when you go to sleep. Thank you for being such a good sleeper baby
girl.
You just charm your way into
everyone that you meet’s heart! You
continue to fill in those beautiful cheeks and keep getting longer and
stronger. You just started to sit in
your Jumparoo and have liked sitting in your Bumbo for awhile now. You still like a little alone time to lay on
the floor and just kick and look up.
Please stay this little
forever. You are too sweet and fun right
now. I will never forget this
stage. It is the best.
We love you so much sweetie. I miss you so much when I am away from
you.
