Jack stories-July 2013
3 ½ years old
Using words that I use…but
in the wrong spot. Sometimes I use words
like ‘nervous’, ‘embarassing’, etc. I
will ask you to do something, and if you aren’t in the mood, you will respond
with your hands on your hips, “You’re embarrassing me Mom!” or “You’re making
me nervous Mom!”
Favorite game: Playing
“bad guy” You have this growly face and
this football stance that you approach us in.
You usually tell one of us to tell the other one, “Oh no, there’s a scary guy
coming up the stairs!”
Testing us: You have begun
to test us in a new 3 year old sort of way.
You are such a little sweetheart most of the time, but you have some
pretty trying moments! Full of attitude,
yelling, and just frustration on all of us.
“Jack you need to throw
your bad attitude away!”
“I can’t!”
“Why?”
“Because..”
“Because why?”
“Because it’s in the
washin’ machine.”
“Jack, why are you so
hyper?”
“Becuzzz I’m willy cool!”
“Only boys drink pop. Only gewls drink Crystal Light.”
“That’s not an animal….that’s
a bewd!”
“Jack, a bird is an
animal.”
“NO IT’S NOT!”
“I’m all blued up!” This is what you said after you picked out
your FAVORITE outfit…the SIT blue golf t shirt and your blue shorts.
Daddy was explaining to
you that Santa Claus is watching what you do.
I added in that it was actually more important that Jesus wants you to
be good. You followed up with:
“Jesus
doesn’t like me anymore . He isn’t happy
for me because he isn’t here.”
Daddy
then explained that Jesus was in your heart and you screamed, “NO HE’S NOT!”
You asked me “Where was
Hanna when I was a baby?” I told you
that she wasn’t made yet. You then
looked confused and asked, “But how was she in your belly?” I stalled and finally said, “God.” You seemed understanding but then I decided
to add in….”And Daddy.” Your
understanding quickly turned to slight confusion and I did a quick topic
change.
Jack you sure have a mind
of your own! You are so feisty, and have
some pretty good expressions and movements when you are talking back. You can be soooooo sassy….but you do NOT like
to be in trouble. Your little sensitive heart
and how you treat Hanna are the best!
Love you little guy!
Hanna Stories-July 2013
1 1/2 years old
Baby Gew Gew- You say this
to request me to sing “Baby Beluga in the deep blue sea. Won’t my mommy be so proud of me. She knows how I walk. She knows how I talk. Baby baby baby baby girl girl girlllllll.”
Stuffed animals-You will
nuzzle and kiss and snuggle on the ground with any stuffed animal. If you are sad, that is all we need to find for
you. That or food.
Twinkle Twinkle, ABC’s-You
are constantly singing both of these songs throughout the day. You wake up and fall asleep singing. It is adorable!
"Why?" "Why?" over and over.
"Day doo" -thank you. (After giving you something, hugging you, changing your diaper...anything!) Polite little girl!

"Day doo" -thank you. (After giving you something, hugging you, changing your diaper...anything!) Polite little girl!
Singing Minga Minga or
Mommy Mommy or Woa Woa to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle.
Laughing when Jack pushes
you down, and pushing him twice as hard.
Spinning in circles…you
laugh and laugh, get dizzy, and fall to the ground.
Jumping up in the air and
landing right on your bottom on the floor!
If we laugh, you continue!
Hot feet-all I have to do
is say this, and you start jumping around all over…high knees style!
Bringing us our cell
phones and drinks if we leave them somewhere.
“He go Mommy!”
Collecting crumbs or
things from the floor and bringing them to us.
“Owie, Owie”. You say this when something isn’t going your
way or something isn’t working.
Boon-Balloon
“Where Papa go?”
“Where Minga go?”
Papa??? Papa???
What doin’ Mom?
Ipen-Open
Hode you-Hold You
(aka….pick me up and hold me)
What appen-What happened
Uh-oh
Sour patch kid-this
describes the 2 personalities of Hanna.
Happy as can be, or very angry and feisty.
Science Center experience. The other day I took you and Jack to the
Science Center. It was great! But there were a few funny parts. First, you found something white on the
ground…I noticed you were chewing something, but didn’t think it was gum and
figured it was gone. Then I was going
potty and a little kid came and opened the door on us…swinging it wide open for
all to see. Then I put you in the
stroller towards the end of our trip and when we got to the car, I noticed that
your chin was stuck to your chest with melted gum. A strangers yucky gum. I managed to roll it up into a gooey ball,
scrape it off your neck somewhat, and strap you in. I then tossed the gum into the road, and then
stepped on it so it was melted on my shoe.
It was a great day!
Brave, risky girl. Your new thing is climbing on things. You like to climb onto the ottomans and stand
up with a smirk on your face. You will
say, “Watch this Mommy!”, and then attempt to jump off. After multiple times of me taking you off and
saying “No!” (while you laugh), you finally make your own high surface with the
tray tables, stand about 3 inches in the air, and again say, “Watch this Mommy!” and jump off.
Oh Hanna girl, you are going to be our little risk taker. You make Mommy very nervous!!! But gosh I love you so much!
