April 2013

We've had a great month!  Aunt Laura, Landon, and Grandma Joyce came to visit one weekend, we celebrated Easter in Cedar Falls/Waterloo, and had a lot of fun just playing outside.

Landon and Hanna did not like sharing.  Landon didn't like Hanna to come inside.  Every time she would open it up, he would slam it shut!

Jack Memories
April 2013

-“Only 3 year olds are cousins with Baby Landons.” (after hearing that we would be going to his 1st birthday with other cousins)

-“Just like you are my daddy, and mom is my mommy, Grandma is my grandma, and Laura is my Laura?” (after Justin reminded him that he was the Daddy of Penguin and Doggy)

-Puss ‘n’ Boots

-playing outside

-playing sports

-Daddy!!!!

-“Grandma, wanna go haff a picnic wiff me?!”

-When pulling up to the park on the bike trail with Grandma Joyce, he sees a slide and says, “Awwwwww, that’s my FAV-WITE!”

-Spelling: Jack LOVES to spell words!  Everyday after daycare, he walks up to the line and spells S-T-O-P Stop!  Then we cross!  He has to read Daddy’s Iowa shirt everynight: I-O-W-A Iowa! F-O-O-T-B-A-L-L Football!  Iowa Football!  He can read books, mostly from memorization, but this has happened slowly over the last year.   Hop on Pop, Are You My Mother, and Llama Llama Red Pajama are some of his favorites!

-He can count to 14 or 15, and does a great job with 1-1 correspondence and loves counting any groupings he sees!

April 2013

-Words: Mama, Dada, puh-ple (purple), Uh oh, Ztack (Jack), Papa, peek-a-booooo, byeeee byeeee, ta-taa (tractor)

-Foods: Anything.  Literally. Anything.

-If you are in one of your moods, or you aren’t getting what you want, or you are sad because one of us is leaving, you will whip your head to face away from us and grunt.  This happens often.  Multiple times a day.

-Snuggles…you love to snuggle with your blankie, sleeve, and Mommy when we are reading a book.

-Books: Everywhere Babies, Elmo with the puppet,  and a huge flap book from Fisher Price.

-Laughing: you and your brother can get each other to just giggle and giggle for no reason.  It is so adorable!

-Getting tickled!  You love when Daddy does this!

-Getting chased!  You love to be chased.

-running
