We hosted Christmas at our house this year since it is so close to the baby's arrival. It was a very fun weekend with my mom, Justin's mom, my sister, and both Uncle Mikes! Jack was in heaven and cried for two days after it was over missing each of them. His Christmas pajamas this year are Thomas and he's obsessed with them. He wears them all the time and will cry for Thomas over and over.
Jack loves playing with his bouncy ball and practicing dribbling and loves juggling like Daddy with the smaller ones! His newest thing to do while he kicks the ball is to put his arms under his armpits like a chicken. We are not sure why he does this or where he got it but it's so funny looking! Jack also loves to serenade us on his drums and keyboard at the same time. Now he has a guitar so it will be interesting to see how he balances all three! Somebody wants to be just like his Grandpa Mick and Uncle Mike!
Jack also got to finger paint for the first time a few weeks ago. I love when he colors, paints, and plays with play-dough! He enjoyed this for about 10 minutes and was done, but I'm sure he'll start to enjoy it more and more. He looks pretty upset below in his paint shirt!
He loves his Big Teddy and Little Teddy. He will carry them around and sit with them. "I hode you Teddy. Hode you Teddy." (Hold) So sweet. He also says, "Hode you Daddy, Hode you Mommy" when he wants us to hold him!
The 3 cookies below were decorated by Jack at daycare as presents to us! I think it's so cute to see where he put the toppings. Right when I got to daycare he was holding the plate of the cookies, and dropped them on the floor. So we didn't get to eat them, but we still thought it was so sweet that he decorated them for us.
Jack got so many awesome presents for Christmas. He is one lucky little boy. He got a Thomas train set, Thomas book/puzzle, a big Elmo, Thomas pillow, a guitar, pots, pans, and fake food for his soon to come present from Santa, and a cute Nike sweatsuit! He loves his presents! He loves to do a 'show' for us with his guitar. The other night he told Justin, "You do it!" So Justin had to play the guitar. Then he told me, "Dance!" So I got up and we held hands and danced while Daddy serenaded us! He's so goofy! He also made us 'cake cakes' and hot chocolate with his pots and pans. He's going to love Santa's gift so he can keep cooking! Jack loves to watch Daddy cookin' or to say that Daddy's workin'!
The last picture is a picture of us putting our siblings to work! We bought Jack 120 bricks to build with in the basement and realized it would be faster if we had an assembly line. We each took a package and raced to see who could get done first. Nobody wanted me on their team so we did an individual competition, and.....I lost. Came in 6th place. Justin came in 1st. We are so grateful they all helped us out though!! Saved us a ton of time!
We are excited for Christmas with Grandpa Mick and Grandpa Bob and Carol next week! Baby #2 is due two weeks from today so we are excited to find out if Jack will have a baby brother or baby sister! Jack claims he is having a baby seestah and that we should name her Baby Cousin. So we'll think about that!
We love you Baby Jack and hope you enjoy all your Christmases with your uncles, aunt, and grandparents who love you so much! You are the best gift of ALL TIME to us!
Some of Jack's favorite people in the whole world!!
