This June and July have been jampacked! I am home with Jack for the summer, we had many trips back to Waterloo to stay with my sister, took a trip to LaCrosse for a family reunion, went swimming, boating, had Father's Day, ate the first corn on the cob, went to the zoo, took a trip to Honeycreek, dealt with basement flooding....again, and used lots of creativity to fill these days since the heat has been miserable!
Jack is finally starting to actually enjoy swimming! I'm so glad!! He's not as scared as he has been, and we've enjoyed going to the pool for toddler time on the days we can! He will not go down the big slide anymore, but insists on walking up and down the path up to it over and over again, only to turn around and come back down again. He likes to hop, DANCE, eat numerous snacks (nah) a day, watch Yo Gabba Gabba, Barney, and Dirt Girl. He loves playing chase around the house, tubbies, bubbles, animals, daycare one day a week, being outside (OS), downstairs (Dit), going to Mommy and Daddy's room and playing in the shower, balls...for awhile he loved to go collect all of his balls and put them on his Jack chair and sit on them like a hen, playing with lotions and wipes in his bedroom, listening to music, Aunt Laura (Wowa), Grandpa Mick (Papa), anyone who will follow him anywhere, and Daddy. He loves me all day long..but the second there is someone else, he's over me.
Jack loves to eat. His faves right now are pasta, strawberries, bananas (nonna), pineapple (mineapple), milk, fruit snacks (NAH), frozen Go-Gurts, popsicles, CHEESE, quesadillas, mac n cheese, and whatever we cook he loves.
He despises but once loved: raisins (because I tried to trick him into thinking they were fruit snacks), grapes (on and off), bread (unless it's Jimmy Johns), blueberries, and veggies.
I'm having a great summer with my little buddy and am trying to enjoy it the most I can because I'll have a 5 month old and a 2 1/2 year old next summer!! I'm really liking the 1-1 ratio:)
Fun things:
I Loooooove YOU!/ I taught him to point to his eyes, heart and point quick to whoever says it!
1,2,3, JUMP!/ Loves to show off his jumping skills!
Go crazy!/From Yo Gabba....he literally goes crazy!
Dance!/ He will bust a move to any music. He moves his head quick side to side when he hears any beat or song he likes.
Peripheral vision/ He just learned he has this...yesterday. He will look at us from the side and knows he makes us laugh!
Helping cleaning/ He loves the broom! Also he loves to help me with laundry...loading it into washer, turning it on, shutting the doors, handing me clothes, AND unfolding all the piles of folded laundry afterwards.

NnnnnnnnnO! Said so many times a day. We started saying, "Jack do you want to eat?" NO! "Jack do you love Mommy?" No! "Can you say No?" NO! He even says it when he means yes. Just likes to cop a tude whenever he can.
We love you baby boy!!!
Bubbles! Obsessed! He can spot the containers from anywhere and will say it over and over.
He loves this song: 'I love you, a bushel and a peck, a bushel and a peck and a hug around my neck.....'
My mom and sister came for 4 days and it was so much fun! We went to a movie, out to eat, shopping, to the zoo, to a hotel....it was great. I wish they could come every weekend!
